Haute Couture

Haute Couture Week is over and once again the designers put out their best game. The shows were amazing! I think that we can say that someone has made it into the fashion world the day he or she is invited to a Haute Couture show.

I said that the shows were amazing but we have to think about the shows before saying that.
When we talk about Couture, we generally talk about extraordinary clothes which are almost art pieces, we are waiting for big dresses, something really extravagant but when we really think about it is not really about the fact that the clothes are out of the ordinary which matters in couture, it is the fact that the clothes are mostly hand made, there is really a work behind it in the creation, the sewing, and I think that generally we don't really think about that, we don't really think about the work behind the shows, all the people that work all days and nights to create what we see on the runway; and the Couture shows are, for me, the expression of their talent so I (personally) wanted to thank them also for being able to create the pieces and to make possible the amazing shows that we see each season!

Talking about amazing shows, Christian Dior by Raf Simons blew my mind, it was for me one of the best shows of the season, I was a little perplex at first but at the end I was totally for it, the clothes were fantastic, the girls were amazingly beautiful and the set was extraordinary... Very good job Raf.
Two other shows that blew my mind were the Chanel show and Stephane Rolland.

Why Chanel? Well I have to admit that I am not a big fan of Chanel's when it comes to Haute Couture, well it is not the first show that I am going to watch but this time I was really impressed by what Karl did and I think that it was a really good show, like Dior I was quite perplex at the beginning but at the end I applauded (even if I was alone at home).
The end... Don't you know what happened at the end of the Chanel show? If you don't, it means that you have been away from planet fashion for a long time, Karl decided to have two brides with a child on the runway at the end of the show. Chanel was amazing also because they managed to create a forest in the Grand Palais and it was extremely beautiful.

Stephane Rolland... I just can't say anything... the show was orgasmic for me...I loved It, I loved every pieces, really my idea of Couture seriously well done Stephane!

For me a really good show is the association of beautiful clothes, fabrics, models but also a show where we see that the girls have fun and are happy to wear the clothes that's why above all the show that for me was the best is Jean Paul Gaultier's.
The clothes were fantastic, but I think that what really amazed me was the all idea, it was exotic and fresh and hot (in this freaking-cold-wintery Paris), there was some sexiness, all of that made this show the best one for me.
